I don't know if this is already in the works, but it would be really interesting if we could have map profiles. Such information would include:

Heat Map: This would show locations on the map of the most deaths. This would be accomplished by recording each death (for example in a tank battle) and the position of the death (x and y variables). On the actual map, the darker the red color, the more deaths there are. This could be overlayed (if the user chooses) on the realtime map that appears when going to http://127.0.0.1:8111/ as well a being available on the website.

Country Wins: This would show which country generally dominates on this map. We could then compare this to the actual historical data available to see if it's generally correct.

Paths: This would show the most common paths people take in maps. This would be accomplished by recording all players' x and y positions. As data accumulates, the most common paths will begin to become clear. There are a couple ways of doing this, however the one that requires less calculations and math (although we may want to eventually just go that route) is to simply plot all the points on the map. Each point however is 99% transparent. After many games are recorded, the points would begin to overlap and thus show common routes as they become less transparent.

Just some ideas and I would be happy to help program, design, and implement these statistics if possible.

Ahh, like the vehicle profile but stats on the maps being played.   Interesting...  

Short term stats would be Country wins, frequency, performance on the map, etc.   Anything that isn't as real time or location specific.

Paths and Heat Maps would be an undertaking and have a lot of hurdles to overcome.    The http info just isn't specific as to who is where unfortunately.   I would have to do some heavy modifying of the App to tackle that one.    Something to consider and put on the board though...

For the Heat Map, I wasn't thinking that each point would have a correspoding username, it would just stream the x's and y's and the server would simply save it all. From here, using the equivalence of the PHP image creation functions (not sure what you program in mainly) it would simply save all of the points plotted on the map as an image. During a real battle, the static image from the server would simply be superimposed over the already in place map. 

Maybe you already got this and I am misunderstanding what you mean.

EDIT: Just to clarify, the Heat Map isn't generated and modified in real time, it's based on past statistics.

Ah, I see.

I was thinking more as player-vehicle though and thanks for clarifying.

It's definitely possible coming from that direction and something to look at after the general stat collection is ironed out.   Right now the app doesn't look at that data very much at all.

It's mostly looking at hud and chat messages currently.

I would like to add a link where you can have a look for inspiration what stats to gather (if available) and how to organize them. This was my favorite source of data in that other tank game that shall not be named http://www.vbaddict.net/wot.php. As you can see, there is everything - players, vehicles, clans, maps, income, graphs, ... .Geek
