How OSS works is it collects the information provided by Gaijin through the localhost:8111 address.    It does some basic calculations in the app then parses that information and sends it up to the WWII Logs site.

Once uploaded the site runs the data through its libraries and builds missing information.   Vehicle BRs, Nation affiliation, Team composition, etc.

The more information it has the better it will be able to correctly identify everything.

First here are some requirements to upload.   If these aren't met it won't even upload to the site.
1.) Game is in English
2.) Player Name found in Mission matches OSS User (Kill,Death,Team Chat)
3.) App is running prior to Mission start
4.) Mission is Observed until the end.

And finally some tips for getting a good upload.
1.)  Kill something during the match.
2.)  Get your team mates talking in Team chat.
I typically start every match with the old "Attack enemy units!"     This will identify team members and Nation affiliation; plus, it's fun.  Smile
3.)  If none of those work..   Die trying..    And not be the first!  lol

S!

I need to look at that prior to the next update as it might be a source of why RB gets mistakenly identified as AB occasionally.

It doesn't use that information if it is shown through the chat; however, it could be confusing the Match type identification.

It is currently recording Awards to be used in the personal stats though.
