Dear all,

I am just wondering, what OSS is recording and whether it could help me to solve a puzzle. I am trying to understand how WT is calculating activity, but it appears they are using some vehicle-dependent parameters to scale activity. For comparison check out this:

https://forum.warthunder.com/index.php?/topic/431758-how-is-activity-calculated-or-what-does-it-depend-on/

I have tried to dig into the data by manually recording the most important parameters for some of my own battles, but this is simply not sufficient. Is there a way to get access to a bigger cache of missions, containing information about players score, battle time, life time, vehicle, and activity?

Cheers, Horrifior

Not that I know of...   Maybe the WT Api might contain some data for that; although, I've never really found a good source of material for it.

OSS just captures the data exposed through the http feed WT provides.    It's typically chat and map data.   You can see it by opening up the http://127.0.0.1:8111" rel="nofollow - http://127.0.0.1:8111 link in your web browser.

I know this doesn't answer your OSS question but:

I don't know about tanks but, in air battles as long as you have an enemy targeted it counts towards your activity. Doesn't matter whether it's an air target or ground target.

As soon as I spawn in, I look for a target to lock on to. It doesn't matter whether I'm going for that target or not, as long as I target something.  After I started doing that, my percentage is seldom below 80%.
Most of the time it's in the 90% range.

Thanks Sidiros. Two follow-up questions: What kind of data do you actually have in your database? Score? Battle-time?

And where can I find that Warthunder API, is there any documentation?

Well, this does not seem to happen in my case. But being in the vicinity of enemy players does increase your score and activity.

And in order to properly test mathematical models against GJs reality I rather need some more pathological data, so data covering values close to 0% activity and at 100% activity. I was hoping, I could get more data here.... damn!

Or maybe somebody else knows a way how to track entire battle statistics, e.g. by reading the CLOGs and / or looking into the replays? Does anybody know how to extract data from these?

I actually have a fairly simply formular which can calculate your activity based on score and lifetime, but I would need a larger database to verify it.

Dear all,

I actually came up with a model of activity, if you are interested you might find this useful for your understanding of the game:

I apologize for the late responses.    I've been remodeling my kitchen and away from WT.

I googled the API a long time ago and didn't find much info.     OSS doesn't get any type of battle activity times.   It really only picks up kills, deaths, fires, and the like from the battle log.

I didn't look much into the clog as I was told reading it violated EULA.
